How does Cataplex A promote healthy epithelial tissue?Vitamin A is necessary for the normal proper repair and maintenance of epithelial tissue.1,2 Skin and mucous membranes are made of this type of tissue. Beta carotene is a provitamin A.3 It is a major carotenoid in skin and supports healthy function of a wide variety of organs including cells of the skin, small intestine, and colon.*
How do the ingredients with antioxidant activity support health?Beta carotene acts as an antioxidant in the skin by quenching high-energy molecules known as singlet molecular oxygen and scavenging other components (reactive oxygen species) that are a normal byproduct of cell function.4,5*
