Resveratrol contains two isomers, cis-resveratrol and trans-resveratrol. Trans-resveratrol is the active form. No benefits have been associated with cis-resveratrol. Resveratrol occurs naturally in plants along with other polyphenols such as quercetin. Quercetin may enhance resveratrol's bioavailability.
